CAROLINA BEACH ATTRACTIONS AND EVENTS
Lace your shoes and flaunt your green at the Steve Haydu St. Patrick's Lo Tide Run. I run it almost every year, and it's easily one of my favorite community events. This stroller and wheelchair-friendly 5K/10K event provides financial support to local patients fighting cancer, which makes crossing that finish line mean something. Register by March 1st for a lower price and guaranteed race t-shirt size!
The beach is beautiful under the stars, and you can join the Cape Fear Astronomical Society at their upcoming 10th annual Star Party on April 22nd at Carolina Beach State Park. All you need is bug spray and a flashlight to enjoy learning about the night sky.
Back for 2022, the Carolina Beach Street Arts Festival is an interactive art event at Carolina Beach Lake Park on May 7th. Check it out and support our local artists this spring!
On May 21st, the Carolina Beach Farmer's Market will be back! Don't miss your chance each Saturday to choose fresh produce, baked goods, dairy products, meats, and wine. Take home a gift from local artisans and enjoy live entertainment at Carolina Beach Lake Park.
KURE BEACH ATTRACTIONS AND EVENTS
Cape Fear Craft Beer and Cuisine will feature local chefs, delicious food, and beer from local breweries on April 2nd at the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher. Don't miss this chance to experience the best local cuisine and brews at a great location!
One great way to acknowledge Earth Day 2022 is a run, jog, and walk in the 5K Run for the Planet, on April 24th at the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher. You can't beat this race experience, as the course includes ocean views, maritime forest, and the historic fort.
Enjoy live music, food, and games at the Kure Beach Street Festival (tentatively planned for the last weekend in April). Please check back for updates from the town, as this fun festival comes back in 2022.
Boogie In the Park is the place to be for live music and fun, typically on the first and third Sundays of each month. This concert series is expected to resume on May 1st, and the Town of Kure Beach will release more information.
WILMINGTON AREA ATTRACTIONS AND EVENTS
The annual NC Azalea Festival will take place April 6th, 10th, with multiple, fun, planned events. Register for a breathtaking tour of azalea gardens in full bloom (just a short drive from Pleasure Island). Tickets for the tour will be available soon.
Airlie Gardens is a 25-minute drive from Carolina Beach and a gorgeous place to visit during springtime! Don't miss the blooming bulbs and azaleas around the beginning of April. Tickets are available in advance.
