Everything was as expected for a beach house. Location was perfect with a beautiful view of the beach and easy walk everywhere. Even so, all the stores you want are only ten minutes away (groceries, ABC, etc.) Kure Beach is fairly quiet as expected even in peak season. The house is dated, but very comfortable and there isn’t carpet which I always found disgusting in beach houses elsewhere. The outdoor porch and stairs are concerning but we didn’t have issues. There is a great little fenced in backyard for the dog that you can let them out the kitchen door as long as they can go up and down stairs. The master bed is very creaky, but everything seemed clean enough. There are way more amenities than what they said. Beach toys galore, beach chairs, a bike, skim boards and boogie boards. There is a full size fridge in the garage which was helpful for overflow. The kitchen has a ton of pots and pans and even a large crockpot. We could not have asked for a better vacation rental or location. It was exactly as pictured. We loved having a fenced in yard for our pups. That was the reason we booked it to begin with. Nice beachfront rental on the Kure Beach boardwalk. Centrally located to most Kure Beach has to offer so park your car and walk to dining, the pier, etc. This kitchen was well stocked and well appointed for meal prep at the house. We enjoyed the fabulous view watching waves from Tropical Storm Imelda for our first two days, then sun the remainder. Good location for trips to Carolina Beach and Southport via the ferry. Perfect "like home" house for your large family
We came with two kids, four adults, and two dogs. Everybody was immediately at home. The dogs loved lying in the sun on the front deck and barking at the occasional seagull. The house is laid out great and has a fenced-in dog yard. My only gripe is that the children's room is downstairs. Shell hunters beware, Kure beach shells are hard to come by!- Reviewed On: 5/2/2025
