"Overall we had a wonderful stay at big bird! House and beach were beautiful and was a great value for what we paid. We did have to wait 15 minutes after our check in time because the cleaners had not finished when we arrived. Also I think small things like hand towels in the bathrooms and shower mats for all bathrooms would go a long way."

"The house did not have any rugs or bedside tables or lamps or dimmer switches. These additions would greatly improve the experience of staying at this beach house. The main couch was comfortable although the upholstery was ratty. The deck furniture was new and very nice; it seemed like this was where all the recent funds had been allocated. For a house that sleeps 17 people there should be an additional full size fridge rather than just a mini fridge. The freezer did not get cold enough. The check-in process was easy and we liked the blackout curtains in the bedrooms. The water pressure in at least one of the showers could be better. There was not enough glassware. "

"Girls Trip - We had eight ladies visiting for a girls trip. Everything was as advertised. We all had plenty of space and enjoyed hanging out by the pool. The views are absolutely amazing! We are thinking of renting the house again for a couples trip."

"The house exceeded our expectations. We have rented many beach homes before but not one as nice as this one. The house had everything we needed and more. The elevator was great for my mother, the house was very clean and well stocked. The staff was very helpful in answering any questions that we had. Would definitely recommend for large families."

"Fantastic spacious house! We have rented beach houses probably 40+ times over the years. This is the nicest oceanfront house we have seen. Our experience has been that owners put little effort or money into an oceanfront house because they figure it will rent in any condition. This house, however, is very well kept. Ground level bedrooms offer some privacy. The 5 masters are huge. Sound does not carry from one floor to the next. Elevator is a great feature. The pool is nicer than most we have had in the past. Deck furniture is comfortable, plentiful, and sturdy. The view of the pool, dunes, and ocean from the main floor is picture perfect. Only cons are limited parking and limited trash can space for a house this big."

"Carolina Beach Realty is AWESOME! This is our second year using them! This house is also AWESOME. As advertised. Only minor complaint is parking situation. There is room only for 3-4 vehicles in driveway but one side of garage has a ping pong table and other side is locked for owner use only. There are a few nearby city spaces on the street but you better put a vehicle there that you dont plan to move all week. Also No hangers in closets so bring your own if you want to hang any clothes. House is laid out well and all rooms are pretty spacious! We had a wonderful week!"
