"The house was beautiful and spacious. We will definitely be coming back. Our one complaint is that the pool wasn’t completely gated off - with several toddlers this caused some anxiety. We ended up buying some baby gates to use for the week. We loved the large bedrooms and king sized beds, the showers were all updated and beautiful, and even with so many of us, we never felt like there wasn’t plenty of space. The large couch in the living room was something we really appreciated as it can be hard to find living rooms that can accommodate seating for large groups. We wish there had been a smaller table to build puzzles on. Overall, this was our favorite beach house yet!"

"Kraken was Wonderful - Fantastic rental with everything provided for a large group! Only complaint was very thin bath towels and wash cloths, no bath mats, and only one kitchen towel!"

"Perfect Family Getaway - The Kraken was a perfect place for our family of 5, with three kids 11 & under. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking and the overall layout is great. I could see this also being great for multiple families vacationing together. Given it was April, I was a little concerned about pool heating because of the disclaimers and previous experiences at other properties, but the pool temp was perfect the entire week. Proximity to the beach allows kids to explore while parents relax on the deck and supervise from a distance. All around great experience!"

"The house was clean and perfect for us. Everyone had their own space - The kitchen was very well equipped. My son is a professional chef and he was very happy with the kitchen supplies. We stayed for Thanksgiving. We enjoyed every minute of our vacation. It was great, and we will definitely think about renting there again."

"Family Vacation - Process for renting was easy. When I had questions- they were answered immediately. When we got there and the code didn’t work- a new one was issued within a couple of minutes. The only draw back is that we could not control the temperature. We would adjust it to warm up and it went back to where it was originally. Other than that- was an awesome place to stay and Will definitely be renting again in the future."

"Our family is so blessed. - We have been going to Kure Beach for about 16 years as a family. The house was great for all of us. We could have private space when we wanted and also have plenty of room for the whole family to get together. The kitchen was well stocked and having 2 refrigerators was wonderful. Only wish there was an ice maker in one of them. We hope to lease it again next summer."

"A beautiful property!! - We treated our family of 15 for our 50th anniversary.
The house fit our needs perfectly with 4 bedrooms facing the ocean! From the teens to the 3 yr old those rooms were perfect too!
One housekeeping item was not handled efficiently...the door directly to the pool was broken ( in the locked position) ..so that access was unavailable. Hopefully the next family had a working door lock!
Despite some rainy days and Covid trying to dampen our fun it was a wonderful week for all of us! We would definitely return!"

"The house was unbelievable! We had a large group so having two refrigerators and two sinks really helped ease congestion and storage in the kitchen. Bedrooms & bathrooms were accommodating and comfortable. The pool right outside the door and just a few steps to the beach. Loved how you had a beautiful view of the ocean and the pool from every level. A short walk to the center of town and the pier. Really enjoyed our stay at the Kraken!"

"This was our first trip to Kure. We loved The Kraken and the customer service from CBR. The house was beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you will need (kitchen and even beach towels). The house was clean and very well maintained. The Beach was very clean, not crowded, and safe water for the kids (ages 3-16yr). Beds are new and super comfortable. The extra fridge on the entry level was a wonderful surprise. We used the recommended chair & umbrella rental service and they were prompt and friendly. We loved the big table for family dinners and game nights. and enjoyed the tall comfortable deck chairs for watching dolphins, pelicans and kids on the beach. With two dishwashers we were able to use the lovely plates and glasses instead of paper plates. The owners have thought of everything! We hope to return for our next family beach trip in 2 years. We were able to park 5 cars, could not have fit a 6th. We had one car in the garage (garage fits only 1 car) and the other 4 squeezed outside."
