"Our family really enjoyed staying at the Anchored Inn for Spring Break. We walked to the beach (only 1 block away) for sunrise but especially loved the sunset views that this house provided every evening. Just beautiful! Plenty of outdoor seating to take it in. The house is gorgeous and the beds were extremely comfortable. We didn't want to leave!"

"Great home, perfect view - Lovely renovated home directly on the canal. Spectacular views and sunsets to die for. You’re one block from the ocean so it’s the best of both worlds. Home is well equipped with all kitchen essentials. We visited with our children and grandchildren and everyone agreed the beds were exceptionally comfortable. Lots of extras like beach toys and bikes. Really lovely vacation! Communication with owner/realty was very good."

"Our family had the best time at this beautiful sound side home. The layout was perfect, with comfortable beds, 3 full bathrooms, relaxing decks and the house was very clean. We brought our kayaks and tubes to enjoy the sound and had access to 2-paddle boards, a floating mat, beach chairs and bikes. It was nice to have the public beach access only one block away. The North End Mini Mart/ Cafe is a short walk for coffee, deli food and provides a small selection of grocery items. It's always a delight to find a vacation rental that offers an enjoyable experience for the whole family."

"Fun week on the sound side - Our family had the best time at this beautiful sound side home. The layout was perfect, all the beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. We brought our kayaks and tubes to hang out on the sound. The rental has 2 paddle boards, beach chairs, a wagon, bikes, a floating mat and some fishing gear. The teens had so much fun jumping in the water off the floating dock. The public beach access is only one block away. The North End Mini Mart/ Cafe is a short walk for coffee, deli food and a small selection of grocery items. It's always a delight to find a vacation rental that offers such a well-rounded and enjoyable experience for the whole family."

"The house was decorated beautifully. Lots of extras included. My family used the paddle boards. Someone called maintenance to fix a loose electrical cover. They responded quickly and made a strong repair. We enjoyed fishing from the dock. It was a little difficult to figure out how to turn on the dock lights. The small dock lights didn’t seem to work. We never figured out how to turn them on. That’s the only negative. Everyone liked the mattress quality in all of the bedrooms. It was a very nice beach house. Close to the beach and having a dock to fish from was a plus. "

"This was our first time vacationing in Carolina Beach, the house was beautiful, clean, and the sunsets over the canal were beautiful! We’ve stayed with many different rental companies over the years, and by far Carolina Beach Realty is the best. Communication was was a breeze and the staff were very welcoming and helpful! Only con is if you go during a King Tide the road floods out in front of the house, and they shut the roads down so if you’re out and the tide comes in, getting back to the house can be problematic. Other than that our trip was perfect! "

"Wonderful location and beautifully maintained and tastefully decorated house - The house is beautiful and very nicely decorated. We felt at home as soon as we stepped inside. It is very close to the beach, to the boardwalk (while being far enough to avoid its noise and agitation), and oriented in such a way that your attention is directed toward the bay. Once inside, you almost forget about the street, the beach, and the rest of the island. There was always something to watch: pelicans, boats, paddles etc, which was great when the weather turned bad and we stayed inside.
Communication with the rental agency was very easy, and they were very proactive by sending texts with instructions for each step of the process. The house was very clean, and you could tell that both the owners and the agency handling the rentals were taking very good care of the property.
We will keep this address in mind for future trips to Carolina Beach!"

"Beautiful! - The Anchored Away house looks exactly like the pictures - it's gorgeous! They thought of everything you could want or need while on vacation. We loved sitting on the deck/dock and watching the ships pass by, and it was great that we could walk out the front door, cross the street, and be on the beach. Our one complaint was that dock work was being done while we were there, and workers were on the dock at some point daily throughout our stay. We do understand that maintenence has to be done, and we were understanding with 1 or 2 days, but they were there every day. At one point there were 2 barges docked, and the workers had their dogs with them. It was awkward being down on the dock and relaxing with strangers there, especially for our teenagers. Otherwise, everything was fantastic. Beautiful property!"

"This is, hands down, one of the best houses I’ve ever stayed in. The location is perfect… watching sunsets nightly, seeing the boat traffic, and such a short walk to the beach as well. The house is very comfortable and homey feeling. All of the little extra touches were much appreciated… pillows for outside chairs, remote control ceiling fans, beds made, baby gates on decks… just so much attention! Thank you for sharing your home with us, and letting our fur babies come too. We will be back!!"
