What if travel is restricted again, will I get my money back? Does Travel Insurance cover that?
Our understanding is that travel insurance is not covering government-issued travel bans, but please feel free to ask RedSky this question to be sure that is correct. If Carolina Beach or Kure Beach is not accepting visitors into the area (we are refusing you) due to COVID19, and the travel insurance still isn’t covering that, we will give you options such as rescheduling. If the travel bans are in your area or another state and Carolina Beach or Kure Beach is open and accepting visitors, then you would have to go through the standard contract cancellation policy of having the property rebooked before receiving a refund. To be clear, this is for COVID related instances only, all other shut down scenarios such as hurricane evacuations are always going to be travel insurance claims or no refund if you decline travel insurance.
What will you need?
As you plan packing for your trip, please plan to bring as much food, paper and cleaning supplies needed for your stay. The local grocery stores are preparing for visitors, but to be safe, it would be best to pack as much as possible. This will also allow for less time spent in the stores while continuing to exercise social distancing.
Is the office open?
Our offices will be open every day from 9am until 5pm. In an effort to keep the Carolina Beach Realty Team Members, Guests and Owners as safe as possible, our office will be closed to the public. This is the best way to continue practicing social distancing in an effort to flatten the curve. Please contact us via phone, email or the app for needs you have while visiting.
Will there be assistance if needed during my stay?
We do have service technicians available for issues that are urgent and need repair quickly. Under current circumstances, we are asking that any items that CAN wait until turnover are handled at that time, rather than having face to face interaction. We appreciate everyone understanding the importance of maintaining social distancing as much as possible.
What time is check-in and what services are being done?
Check-in time is between 4pm and 6pm. Our housekeeping teams will be spending extra time in the houses during changeover to ensure a solid disinfecting is being done between each guest, and they are taking special effort to hit all high touch points during each turnover clean to ensure safety for you, our owners and our team members. Our pool and spa technicians are servicing these amenities during changeover, as well as mid-week. If your spa is only accessible through the house, we will be reaching out to you to schedule a time to have this amenity serviced mid week.
Can I check-in early?
We always want to get everyone in the property sooner rather than later. However, while we are making every effort to ensure everyone's safety, we will need as much time as possible between 10am check out and 4pm check in to clean the properties properly. IF the home is ready prior to 4pm, you will receive a text message alerting you of this. If you have NOT heard from us by 4pm, your door code will be active at this time and you may check-in remotely (or come to our office and pick up keys if applicable). We are experiencing very high call volume this season and appreciate everyone understanding this and relying on you to follow these processes to know when to arrive to your property.
