KB Surf Shack, formerly Cosmopolitan B, is a 5-bedroom oceanfront home with a shared pool on the north side of a beautiful duplex with incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean and directly in front of one the best surf breaks on Pleasure Island. A wonderfully convenient location to both Kure Beach and Carolina Beach restaurants and shops, a few blocks to the entrance to the wonderful new biking and walking greenway and luxurious comfortable surroundings for the entire family make KB Surf Shack your perfect family vacation destination.

New owners for 2021 have given this 5 bedroom home a completely new look with upgraded everything, from new mattresses, bedding and rugs, to upgraded lighting and furniture. Gleaming hardwoods in all the rooms and bedrooms, clean tile floors in all the baths, and a new dishwasher will help make this rental house feel like your home away from home. Whether it’s curled up around the large upgraded flat screen in the living room or taking an afternoon nap in the shade on the covered upstairs porch, you and your family will appreciate all the comforts of home here at KB Surf Shack. Need to whip up a meal for 12? No problem because KB Surf Shack has a totally new array of dinnerware, kitchen accessories and small appliances to make your meal prep a breeze! A Ninja food processor and smoothie maker, a coffee grinder, sharp knives and many more upgraded kitchen accessories and barware will help your inner chef shine!

You will be greeted with a convenience package upon arrival with some items to make your stay and packing extra easy, including dishwasher pods, dish soap, a fresh sponge, dish towels, trash bags, laundry pods, and at KB Surf Shack will you find a large selection of Turkish beach towels that you can use and launder if you want to forgo the hassle of packing beach towels. We just ask you clean them before you leave so the next guest can use them!

KB Surf Shack is the north side of a luxury two-sided duplex and, as such, the pool will be shared with the south side of the duplex. The walkway to the beach is also shared. The north side of the private large deck overlooking the pool has many lounge chairs, an outdoor grill and a table to enjoy outdoor time during your stay. The large covered porch upstairs accessed by the master will be the perfect place to watch the sunrise or escape the summer heat with an incredible view of the ocean.

We love our four-legged family members but ABSOLUTELY NO PETS are allowed, and any guest with pets will be asked to leave immediately, will forfeit their security deposit, and will not receive any refunds for the remainder of their visit.

Stayed July 2023

"Loved our stay at KBSS! The house was beautiful and a perfect layout for our families! The house had everything we needed from silver-wear, bowls, pots, beach towels, chairs, blankets and games for family night. The porch had plenty of chairs and the pool was great and beach access is shared but worked out and was easy.
We used the Beach Taxi to go to CB Boardwalk 2 times (definitely walkable but the golf cart taxi was fun!). Also used the recommended chair/umbrella service for the week on the beach.
Our only issue was 1 refrigerator. We made it work with the coolers but took some arranging. Could have used another one to hold drinks, water and ice.

"Great house on the beach. We liked liked that this house was on the end of the shared space with the other duplexes as it did give more privacy. It also was very convenient to the new greenway that we went on often for the kids to ride their bikes. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and the towels that were provided were very convenient.
The house is very close to a public access which makes for more crowds on the weekend but if you get outside early, you can snag a space early."

"We really enjoyed our stay! The only thing that could’ve been improved was whoever cleans the place maybe could look at some of the walls and just wipe them down, something was spilled and just not wiped off on a few walls throughout the place. The other thing was only one bathroom had toilet paper in it. I didn’t realize this until it was too late. I did find some in a closet down the hall, it just would be nice to come in and have a roll tp in the bathrooms and not have to hunt for it. The house was very comfortable. They had everything we needed. What a nice touch to have towels for the pool for guests to use. Thanks so much for a great stay"
